Service dates for any new customer who enrolls in Culligan’s salt delivery program is based on how often the salt tank or reservoir needs replenishment. This is determined by the Culligan Man by examining the water hardness, number of people dependent on the soft water, the size of the salt or potassium storage tank, and also the efficiency of the particular water softener. Culligan salt will support any brand of water softener, including non-Culligan models. Culligan’s goal is to optimize each delivery so that the minimum amount of energy is expended to keep each customer in a good supply of soft water, thereby reducing fuel consumption and keeping delivery vehicles off the road as much as possible.
